Adhira was standing at the main gate of school.

Unaware, silent, observing every single moment.

Today is her first day.

Adhira, a new student in Hallwood Valley High School.

Adhira's POV:

Flashback:

Why I am standing here like this outside. Who does he think he is? Hmm... He can't just invite me to some expensive hotel and fool me. He can't erase all these years of distance by doing all this. I will not let him take my life's decisions just like that. Not after Abandoning me and mom.

But I have to go inside. I can't stand here either.

As I stepped in. It feels like entering into a complete another world.

This is not how I am.

And here, as I stepped in. It felt like I entered into a world of riches. This expensive hotel, grant entry. I am not used to it.

Even after my father is one of millionaires.

I have only lived in simple and subtle life.

As I entered the hotel, I saw him there. He was sitting there, looking exactly his usual self.

I sat in front of him.

His usual flattering words.

I asked him why did he call me.

I was thinking, he is taking a step towards our bond. He wanted us together. Now, I can spend some time with him.

" I wanted you to give what you truly deserve my child" he said.

Again his consoling behaviour.

" What do you exactly mean? " I asked.

" You don't deserve some ordinary middle class life. When your father is among riches. "

I replied: "I told him not to beat around the bush, Seeds. speak directly, why did you call me here?"

"Patience my child patience." He said.

" I wanted to give you a good news."

"What Good news?"

"You got admission into Hallwood Valley High School."

I shocked.

"What did you just say?"

" Yes, my child you heard right. You got admission into Hallwood Valley High School. At last minute, I was bit difficult but I pulled some strings and got you in."

"But you can't take my life's decisions."

"Think about it Adhira, you are true heir of my whole property. You deserve it. And I want my daughter to be capable of taking authority of my money. After all, I am getting old. "

I think about it.

After all we need some money to pay our rent so I agreed.

"Ok dad"

"That's my daughter"

"You have to go tomorrow." He said.

I couldn't believe his words. I thought, now I will get some time to be with him.

Adhira's father, an Alumni from the school, pulled some strings to get her daughter's admission in the school.

In morning, I got ready for school, packed all my stuffs.

He was coming with me to drop me to the school.

In the car,

He warned me not with something any evil, but out of concern.

" This school is filled with decades- old secrets, ones you shouldn't get involved in."

I smirked. Thinking.

" Despite his warnings, I found myself intrigued by these secrets at Hallwood Valley.

If my father was too scared to involve himself with these mysteries....then I should uncover them myself."

Flashback ends:-

Author's POV:

Adhira was remembering all this while standing outside the gate.

She went inside.

Suddenly, a boy came and bumped into her.

His coffee spilled all over her.

When she looked up to see his face.

She was shocked.

Flashback:

I ran out of the hotel.

There is too cold here. I should have bring my jacket with me. I can't go inside now. After all this and the way I stormed out of the hotel.

Suddenly, A boy appears from the alleyway, even under the dim light, I could make out his perfectly sculpted features.

He was the epitome of a bad boy, dressed in leather with an aura of danger.

When he notices the tears and anger on my face, his features soften into a look of concern.

He asked me the reason.

But I simply told him, we should not expect anything from other except the worse.

I didn't know why I was telling all this to him. But I just wanted to.

" I learned to expect the worst out of people...and I am usually right." He replied.

He tried to offer me his jacket.

I refused.

He pushed more. " Keep my jacket and it's too cold outside you will get freeze. And I can't let such cutie freeze. "

I again refused.

He asked : " Are you sure ?"

I nodded.

So he went from there.

Then my father came asking me.

Flashback ends:-

Adhira asked him in shock. " Ohh...you are that jacket boy right ?......how come you here?"

He replied: " I am a student here."

Then a boy came there and asked me if he is troubling me.

I refused.

Then, I went to the counselor who was going to tell me about this school.

Here the first chapter ends.
